Product variants (sizes, colors)

Variants let one product appear in multiple forms — e.g. a shirt in 3 colors and 5 sizes.

Adding a variant

  1. On the product edit page, scroll to Variants.
  2. Toggle "Variant" on.
  3. Click "+ Add Variant".
  4. Enter a name (e.g. "Color") and options (Red, Blue, Green) separated by Enter.
  5. Pick display type: Dropdown (for long lists) or Pills (for visual display).
  6. Save.

Combinations

If you have multiple dimensions (color × size), Shop123 will auto-generate every combination. Click "↓ Load all" to populate the combinations table and edit price + inventory for each.

Dropdown vs Pills

Dropdown (Select)

Customer picks one value from a list. Good for: sizes, fits, lengths.

Pills (Checkbox)

Customer sees all options at once. Good for: colors, styles, materials. You can add a price modifier per option.

💡 Tip: If a product has 3+ dimensions (color, size, material), split it into separate products. More than 30 combinations makes editing painful.

Inventory

Every combination can manage its own stock. If a color sells out — mark just that combination as out of stock without affecting others.
